00:40:44 Susan Rolfsmeier: Hi everyone, I work in a rural library as Assistant Director. We participated in the NAML program and I work to plan adult programs as well as family STEM program. 00:42:45 Claire Ratcliffe Adams: https://ideaboardz.com/for/What%20have%20been%20some%20struggles%20you%20have%20faced%20since%20moving%20to%20remote%20learning%3F/3544986 00:43:24 Lynn Schofield-Dahl: So many of our patrons do not have reliable internet 00:43:28 Tassey Beeson: Getting them to join us remotely. 00:45:17 Susan Rolfsmeier: We live in a rural area with uneven internet access and patrons seem to not access our programs online. 00:46:06 Jenny Claiborne: Not just access, but many in our community do not have devices 00:50:02 Susan Rolfsmeier: I agree with Jenny, many come to our library not just for WiFi but to use our computers. 00:53:24 Sina Kirk: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ifmWe6wg9GLfVfBSr-db_VQvQzhnAD24/view 00:53:40 Sina Kirk: Link above for Implementation Rubric 00:55:45 Sina Kirk: Everyone should be able to view it now 00:58:20 Margo Gustina: Something I notice in my practice is that it is much easier for me to be flexible with student expressions of their learning (given the learning goal we've set) than I am at developing content that makes space for every student to feel relevance and connection. 01:03:15 Brad Bachelor: I think I chose Action & Expression on my survey, but any chance you can put me in reprensention? 01:03:31 Anne Holland: Brad, you should be able to swtich! 01:03:39 Anne Holland: Yes, what Jessica is saying :D 01:03:40 Brad Bachelor: Cool, thanks! 01:03:57 Gillian Streeter: Where should we start if we're just at sea? :) Best starting point? 01:03:59 Cindi Place: I would love to know how you do that with rooms! 01:04:50 Cindi Place: Cool! 01:04:52 Gillian Streeter: Thanks! 01:05:05 Barbara Gerhard: where does that appear? 01:05:05 Brad Bachelor: How do you join the room? It can be a challenge for those w/ executive function difficulties and seem overwhelming. Not related to summer programming specifically but I think it can be a barrier to those who get overwhelmed. On the other hand, I love how tech can be used as adaptive technology to help facilitate learning. 01:28:54 Gail Sheldon: A lot of Alabama libraries are hoping for some sort of hybrid, but planning for more digital. 01:29:12 Abby Davis: Would love to hear about the online volunteering program 01:29:50 Stephanie Bents: I was waiting for things to return to normal, but I'm thinking now we'll revamp and end up with some sort of hybrid model and more flexibility, even after the pandemic is under control. 01:29:59 Susan Rolfsmeier: The remote model has allowed access to speakers that we usually would not have because they don't want to travel to our remote location, and we added participations from other parts of the state. 01:30:07 Katie Brinker: I would also love to hear more about Catherine's online volunteering program! 01:30:20 Gillian Streeter: walls of text are intimidating for exec function too 01:30:36 Jenny Claiborne: We were also able to reach people we've never been able to connect with before! We've learned so much about how outdated our old model of programming was. 01:30:36 Anne Holland: That’s a good point Susan! I’ve been doing virtual programs all over the country, it’s been so fun! 01:30:40 Gillian Streeter: (this is a challenge with newsletters especially) 01:30:53 Rachel Cleer: Ditto on also wanting info on Catherine's online volunteering program. 01:31:18 Alexa Wright: I wrote down " research online volunteering program!" 01:32:09 Catherine Schaeffer: cmschaeffer@kcls.org -- re online volunteering 01:32:13 Katie Brinker: Thanks, Catherine! 01:32:35 Susan Rolfsmeier: wouldn't it be cool if we had a pool of programmers and could share resources that way 01:32:50 Anne Holland: Susan that would be amazing! 01:32:51 Cindi Place: 3PM Eastern time right? 01:32:57 Sina Kirk: We’d love your feedback! : https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdl3UOr2d4VHEwQUzeNV0_-PLVFuh16NhK1RxyIJcqze6kqmw/viewform 01:33:00 Brooks Mitchell: yep, 3 pm ET 01:33:01 Anne Holland: Correct Cindi 01:33:11 Stephanie Vierow-Fields: 12pm PT/ 1pm MDT/ 2pm CDT/ 3pm EDT 01:33:38 Brooks Mitchell: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdl3UOr2d4VHEwQUzeNV0_-PLVFuh16NhK1RxyIJcqze6kqmw/viewform 01:35:23 Sina Kirk: Skirk5@asu.edu 01:35:23 Abby Davis: Sina, your link for representation choices is in the google classroom? 01:35:58 Catherine Schaeffer: Thank you! 01:35:59 Susan Rolfsmeier: thanks, bye
