What is STEM?
For many, the term “STEM” is loaded with meaning. The term can refer to the professions related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Or, it can refer to the educational practices that schools and other institutions use to prepare youth to enter those professions. In free-choice learning settings, all ages can explore STEM – not just students. And, social connections, practical skills, and creativity become integral parts of STEM learning.
See how library professionals and their collaborators are making STEM part of their programs and services.
